Nonpartisan stance
VigilData does not endorse candidates, parties, ballot measures, or campaigns. We track and document public actions across the political spectrum.
No endorsement
Coverage of an entity does not imply approval or disapproval. Our role is to surface verifiable public records and to make them comparable.
Donor non-interference
Donors, members, partners, and grant-makers do not control coverage, prioritization, or conclusions. Significant donor relationships are disclosed on the Financial Transparency page.
Research independence
Methodology, scoring, and corrections are determined by VigilData’s editorial and data review process, not by outside parties.
Conflicts of interest
Team members disclose material conflicts of interest, including political activity, employment by entities covered, and significant financial holdings. Where a potential conflict touches a story or dataset, the affected person recuses from review of that work.
AI and human review
AI-assisted features are used to surface candidate signals from public records. Human reviewers make the call on editorial labels, published scores, and corrections.
